What is Recreational Oxygen?
The use of Recreational Oxygen at an oxygen bar is non-medical oxygen mixed with various scents for aromatherapy. The air we normally breathe contains about 21% oxygen; the rest is Nitrogen, argon and other trace gasses. The oxygen in an O2 Bar is between 90% and 92% which allows the customer to breathe 4 to 5 times the normal amount of Oxygen.

There are also reports that oxygen sessions can help people with addictions. Lessen cravings and nervous energy when trying to kick the habit of tobacco, alcohol or narcotics.
Where does the Oxygen come from?
Our oxygen comes from a completely self contained, non-medical concentrator that was developed by NASA to filter out the Nitrogen and other trace gasses from the ambient air in the room. The oxygen is then pushed through the hose to the patron and the other gases are released back into the atmosphere.
What is the deal with the scents?
Our oxygen bars uses only water-based, oxygen safe aromas. The oxygen has to be filtered though liquid so it doesn’t dry out your sinuses or lungs, with the aromas added to the distilled water you gain the added benefit of aromatherapy.
Is it harmful?
There are no risks or adverse effects with the short-term use of oxygen. The American Lung Association has said that breathe oxygen from a bar for less than 30 minutes per day has no harmful effect and there is no evidence that oxygen used in bars can be dangerous to a normal persons health.
